Hi 1911crazy - in all the years that this product has been out there I know of nobody needing to replace the recoil spring because it 'wore out' - there have been several instances where the spring was damaged during dis-assembly. Theoretically of course it can't last forever but engineering has no figures on estimated life. They are cheap enough so if you think it would be nice to have a spare - by all means.
BTW - thanks for your post regarding customer service - they want to do their best!

When I installed the solid pins for the 45 super upgrade I ordered a new recoil spring and put it in too, since I had it apart any way.
The old one had been in use for over ten years and was still working good.
They don't cost much= cheap insurance.

Besides recoil springs, are other spare parts available?

Such as firing pins and extractors? A whole bolt assembly?

Thank you.

I had a 1911 CCU in the past, but sold it. I'm considering getting a Glock 19 model. However, parts support is very important to me in any system I buy so it can be kept running.
